A cabinet handle quotation can usually be prepared faster when the key product requirements are clear from the beginning.
For furniture manufacturers, cabinet makers and hardware buyers, the most useful information is not a long specification document. A product photo, basic dimensions, required finish and approximate quantity are often enough to start the discussion.
The checklist below explains what to send when requesting a cabinet handle quotation and which details are most important to confirm before production.
1. Product Model or Reference Photo
If you already know the model you need, include the model number in your enquiry.
If you are trying to match an existing handle, send a clear photo instead. A front view and side view are useful when the shape, mounting feet or profile need to be identified.
For replacement projects, a reference photo is especially helpful because two handles can look similar while using different mounting dimensions.
Current product references include HY-003, HY-029, H-005 and H-009.
2. Hole Spacing / Center-to-Center Distance
For handles with two mounting holes, specify the center-to-center distance between the holes.
This is often written as CTC or hole spacing.
Common options in Xiongfa’s current cabinet handle range include:
96 mm, 128 mm, 160 mm, 192 mm, 224 mm and 256 mm.
For replacement handles, hole spacing is normally more important than overall length because the new handle must match the existing drilling positions.
For more detail, see our guide to Cabinet Handle Sizes & Hole Spacing.
3. Overall Size
Hole spacing alone does not fully define the handle.
If dimensions are important to your furniture design, also provide the required:
- overall length
- width or profile size
- height or projection, where relevant
If you are matching an existing product, sending a drawing or a photo with dimensions marked on it can reduce unnecessary back-and-forth.
4. Material
Specify the required material if it is already decided.
Xiongfa’s current cabinet handle range includes models made from materials such as aluminum alloy, aluminum alloy with ABS feet, acrylic with ABS feet, and hollow aluminum alloy.
Different constructions can affect the handle profile, appearance and suitability for a particular furniture design.
If you have not decided on the material yet, send the product style or reference photo first and confirm the available options for that model.
For more information, see Cabinet Handle Materials & Finishes for B2B Sourcing.
5. Finish or Color
Include the required finish or color in the RFQ.
Depending on the model, finishes in the current Xiongfa range include options such as:
Black, Golden, Iron Gray, White, SSS and PSS.
Not every finish is necessarily available for every handle model, so the finish should always be confirmed together with the exact product.
A reference photo can also help when a buyer needs to match hardware with cabinet doors, drawer fronts or other furniture fittings.
6. Required Quantity
Provide the expected quantity when possible.
Even an estimated quantity is more useful than leaving the quantity blank.
For example:
2,000 pcs per size
or
Initial order around 5,000 pcs, mixed sizes
This helps clarify the sourcing requirement and allows the quotation discussion to focus on the actual project instead of a generic product enquiry.
If the final quantity has not yet been confirmed, state the expected range.
7. Replacement Project or New Furniture Production
Tell the supplier whether the handles are for:
an existing furniture design or a new product/project.
For replacement projects, matching existing hole spacing and dimensions is usually the main priority.
For new furniture production, the buyer may have more flexibility in choosing handle length, hole spacing, material and finish.
This information helps avoid recommending a product that looks suitable but does not fit the actual installation requirement.
8. Custom Size Requirement
If the standard dimensions do not match your project, state the required size clearly in the enquiry.
Custom sizes are available within Xiongfa’s current cabinet handle range, depending on the model and requirement.
For a custom-size enquiry, provide the target dimensions or drawing rather than simply writing "custom size required."
The more precise the required dimensions are, the easier it is to check whether the model can be adapted.
What If You Do Not Have All the Information Yet?
You do not need to prepare every specification before making an enquiry.
If you only have an existing handle or a furniture drawing, start with what is available.
A useful first enquiry may contain only:
Product photo or model + hole spacing + required finish + approximate quantity.
The remaining details can then be confirmed before quotation or production.
For replacement hardware, photos and measurements are usually more useful than a long written description.
Example of a Clear Cabinet Handle RFQ
A simple enquiry could look like this:
We are looking for an aluminum cabinet handle similar to HY-003.
Hole spacing: 128 mm and 160 mm.
Finish: Black.
Estimated quantity: 3,000 pcs per size.
This is for a new cabinet production project.
Please confirm available dimensions and quotation.
This gives the supplier enough information to understand the product, dimensions, finish and purchasing volume without unnecessary explanation.
Before Sending Your RFQ
For most cabinet handle enquiries, try to confirm these details first:
Model or reference photo → hole spacing → overall dimensions → material → finish → quantity → application → custom-size requirement.
If some information is still unknown, send the confirmed details first rather than waiting until every specification is complete.
For available models, visit the Cabinet Handles category. If you already have a product reference, drawing or specification, you can also send it through Request a Quote for further confirmation.
